Bonding and Splicing
The NBR extrusion is cut to the required length and the two ends are joined to form a continuous sealing ring.
Depending on the product structure and application requirements, suitable joining processes may include:

The appropriate joining method should be selected according to the required joint strength, sealing conditions, production quantity and regulatory requirements.

Food-Contact NBR Option
For applications where the sealing ring may come into contact with food, beverage ingredients or food-processing products, suitable food-contact NBR compounds can be evaluated according to the required application and regulatory standard.
Food-contact applications should be considered separately from standard industrial NBR because the rubber formulation, additives, curing system and joining materials may differ.

Installation
- Make sure the sealing groove is clean and free from contamination.
- Place the NBR sealing ring into the lid or container groove.
- Fit the ring evenly around the full circumference.
- Avoid twisting or excessive stretching during installation.
- Make sure the joint is seated correctly inside the groove.
- Check that the ring is installed evenly without local lifting or deformation.
- Close the lid and apply the required compression.
- Perform leakage or sealing tests when necessary.
No special installation tools are normally required for standard pail and bucket lid applications.
